i am a ceramicist of 7+ years currently working in austin, tx. alongside my studio practice, i am a pre-dental student at the University of Texas at Austin, pursuing a degree in biology with a minor in business.

exhibitions, awards, and involvement:

  • 2023–26 – Dougherty Arts Center Independent Study Program, Austin, TX
  • 2023 – Senior Exhibition, Westlake Uncommon Spaces Gallery
  • 2023 – Visual Art Scholastic Event (VASE): Two Regional Gold Medals (Sculpture & Wheel-Thrown Work)
  • 2021 – Scholastic Art & Writing Awards: Two Gold Keys (Sculpture)

my work spans both sculptural and wheel-thrown ceramics. my philosophy is to create work with intention, being conscious of every surface, texture, and form. i continue to deepen my understanding of the technical side of ceramics, exploring clay bodies and glaze chemistry, including oxides and other minerals. currently, i draw inspiration from nature, wildlife, and aquatic life, which often emerge as central themes in my work.
